messed up customer service - cell phones


I have been dealing with Verizon for 5 days .been transferred 6 different times each day trying to get this resolved. I have had an account with them for 3 years and went to upgrade my phones and they told me I had an account with Nextel in 2008 and didn't pay my bill and owed them $715.15 (which I did paid what I owed to discontinue the phone then) I told them if I owed that how did I get the account opened in the first place ... and then that was 9 years ago .. I called this morning and told them I would pay $200 that's all so I could get this off of my credit... which is stupid because it never showed up on my credit until now... so I took care of it and went to order my phones and I'm still on hold as we speak because of something to do with what I just took care of...been on hold for 25 minutes.. sooooo sick of Verizon I think I'm going to go back to straight talk this is ridiculous .. they are money hungry leeches and their customer service department sucks!!!!!
